BILLY CONN 41 Who ALMOST beat Joe Louis vs. JOE WALCOTT 47 Who ALSO ALMOST beat Louis: Which "Bridesmaid" Wins?

Dollbaby Melissa, this would have been a great fight! Billy Conn the night he almost beat Louis was ahead on all scorecards and clearly outboxing the Brown Bomber (the younger version) until he after rattling Louis with some hard shots near the end of round 12, thought he could actually win the title by kayo and went for it in the fateful 13th round. Of course Louis finally landed the kayo punch to save his title which appeared to be slipping away. Walcott in his fight with Louis was very clever, fast and beating Louis (the older version) to the punch often even sending Louis down twice. At the end of 15 rounds, Walcott appeared to have won the title as Louis,who was clearly dejected, seemed to believe he had lost the title too only to hear that he had won by split decision. So a Conn vs Walcott fight very well may have been close. Conn probably had more speed and agility as he is the smaller man, but Walcott was also very clever and hard punching too. I think it would have been a seesaw battle with Conn scoring effectively particularly early on with Walcott scoring a knockdown late in the fight and landing the harder punches to take a very close but unanimous decision.
