Laptop/Router Problem?

I have a new Netgear WNDR3400 wireless router. My main desktop, wifi on smartphone and the wireless internet conn for the DVR work fine, so the router seems to be doing it's job. However, my laptop shows "connected" but there is no internet connection for any site. I have tried disabling my anti-virus program and the windows firewall to no avail. I am using WPA-PSK [AES] security option recommended by Netgear and have tried WEP. Wireless signal is excellent. I previously had a combined modem/router and the laptop worked fine on that. The laptop has built-in WI-FI. Why will my laptop not get wireless internet when other devices work fine through this router? Thanks in advance!
